Responder's 4♦ is an 'auto splinter' rebid, showing 6+ spades and a slam going hand (12+ HCP). Note that a 3♦ rebid would show diamonds and be forcing. No need to jump to show diamonds. After the splinter, opener rebids 4♠ with wasted values in diamonds.
Declaring 4♠, timing is key. Win the club and first play a diamond. Force out the ♦A to quickly discard the heart loser. Draw trump next by finessing. Prioritize discarding the heart loser.
