Defend Against 3NT

A bridge hand

Against 3NT, East leads the 4th best spade. How should E/W defend?

(Assume that declarer finesses in diamonds, losing to West’s ♦Q.)

Gino's suggestion and a Short Explanation

West wins the ♠K. West continues with another spade. East must duck the second trick (refuse to play the ♠A). East who holds the length in spades lacks a side entry. Ducking an early round of spades allow the defense the transportation needed to cash 4 spades.
